Roundtable discussion: The integration of dance artists into the workforce

Entering the professional world after training in contemporary dance is a transition that is as exhilarating as it is unsettling. Amidst artistic aspirations, the realities of the field and very practical questions, this event offers a moment of pause to put this pivotal moment into words.
Organised by Danse Transition as part of the Bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance at La Manufacture Lausanne, it creates a space for open discussion about the many facets of a dancer’s career today.
Aims of the meeting
To provide BA Contemporary Dance PromoG students with practical information about the professional environment, particularly within the field of dance.
To share experiences—both successes and challenges—in the transition from training to professional practice.
To facilitate a gathering in a comfortable setting that encourages exchange, discussion and networking.
