How can we keep dancing as we get older, and grow old through dancing?

How might we envisage the transition from ‘virtuoso’ dance to a form of dance that engages with the experience of a body steeped in history, one that becomes both movement and meaning?
With Caroline De Cornière and Sara Marini Buncic
What you’re about to experience
During the course of the day, each participant will be invited to develop self-awareness and to reflect on their experience of the body’s ageing process, as well as the consequences of injury or childbirth. This approach aims to encourage participants to rethink their careers as professional dancers in light of new ways of working, so that they can continue to practise their craft within their own limitations without having to give it up.
Who is it for?
The workshop is aimed at professional dancers who wish to explore the movement possibilities of a body that is ageing, injured or going through a period of withdrawal.
