Dance… a career of the future!?

At a time when artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly significant role in certain tasks, a dancer’s training and career offer the opportunity to develop irreplaceable human skills. The transferable skills acquired throughout this profession are varied and valuable, and can be applied to many other sectors, whether in finance, wellness or law. This workshop is a unique opportunity to discover the full potential of training and a career in dance, as well as the many doors that can be opened through this path.
Danse Transition, with Katrin Kolo
Dance is a real school of life!
This workshop is aimed at those who are finishing compulsory education and wish to pursue a career in dance, as well as those who are already undertaking professional training in choreography and are looking for a job alongside their dance career to diversify their career path. It is also aimed at those for whom a career in dance has not proved as successful as hoped, and who are seeking new professional opportunities.
This workshop is also designed for parents who wish to support their children in their career choices. Since the profession of dancer was officially recognised in Switzerland in 2009, new career opportunities have opened up for those interested in this artistic field. What are the different careers in the world of dance? How can one enter this field? What are the challenges of this professional sector and how can dance training lead to other careers? The answers to these questions will be provided at the end of the day during a presentation open to all family members and interested parties.
During this workshop, inspiring stories of professional dancers who have followed this artistic path through to their career transition will be presented.
